Well I feel like I have done a disservice to those who visit this site looking for some solid information about what is in Plexus Slim.  For that I am truly sorry!  Please forgive me as I I am working hard to give you all the info needed to make the correct decision according to your needs.  The Plexus Slim Ingredients are confusing.  They are written in that technical “dead language”.   Sooooo…. What’s in Plexus Slim Anyway…..?

Low Glycemic Index Maltodextrin~ It has a low glycemic index, meaning that it prompts both relatively low insulin release and blood sugar spike. It is also one of the most efficiently and quickly absorbed complex carbohydrates, meaning that your body doesn’t have to divert much energy to digestion.

Citric Acid~ It exists in a variety of fruits and vegetables.  Citric Acid is a critical component of the bone, helping to regulate calcium crystals.  It helps to regulate the rate of glycolysis and it is also used to remove fatty acids from blood vessels and to lower blood pressure.

Natural Flavors~ Just as it sounds.  This ingredient is in part of why Plexus Slim tastes so good.  It’s primary function is flavor or any nutritional attributes and yes, it does indeed come from natural sources.

Beet Root~ This is an incredible source rich in antioxidants and nutrients.  These include Vitamin C, magnesium, potassium and, Betaine.  All these are all extremely important for cardiovascular health.

Grape Skin Extract~ What you may not know is that grape seed extract contains a vast array of health-giving ingredients, such as protein, lipids, carbohydrates and polyphenols which come mainly in the form of flavonoids.  The term flavonoid is used for a class of plant chemicals known for their activity as highly potent antioxident.  This means their capability in protecting the body against oxidative and free radical damage.  It’s not really surprising when you consider the scientific studies: they show that the antioxidant power of polyphenols is 20 times more powerful than vitamin E and 50 times greater than vitamin C.

Some people call these polyphenols “nature’s biological response modifiers” because of their ability to help the body fight viruses, allergens, and carcinogens.

All this basically boils down to that they have the ability to aid as an anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic,anti-cancerous and anti-microbial activity supporter.

Stevia Extract~ Research has shown that a whole leaf concentrate has a regulating effect on the pancreas and helps stabilize blood sugar levels. Stevia is therefore useful to people with diabetes, hypoglycemia, and Candida.

Other traditional uses of stevia are: lowers elevated blood pressure (hypertension), digestive aid that also reduces gas and stomach acidity, and for obesity. The herb acts as general tonic which increases energy levels and mental acuity.

Stevia has been shown to inhibit the growth and reproduction of bacteria that cause gum disease and tooth decay, making it an excellent addition to tooth pastes and mouthwashes. Many people have reported improvement in their oral health after adding stevia concentrate to their tooth paste and using it, diluted in water, as a daily mouthwash.

Lo Han Extract~ Luo han guo is a very sweet fruit found in China. Extracts of luo han guo (also spelled Luo han kuo or lo han kuo) are now being marketed as a sweetener. The amounts normally used are so small that luo han guo is not likely to have any appreciable effect on human physiology.  Lo Han advantages are a Low Glycemic Index, does not cause extreme fluctuations in blood sugar and only 2 calories/serving (1/2 teaspon).

Oh, if you’re looking for a great baking sweetener, this is the one.  It holds up incredibly well in high heat!

Chlorogenic Acid~ Aside from their potent antioxidant activity, the most recently studied benefits pertain to their potential role in carbohydrate metabolism. Chlorogenic acid specifically is shown to decrease the uptake of glucose in the body and assist in regulating blood glucose levels. What makes their antioxidant properties so unique to other flavonoid and vitamin based compounds is their target impact in the reduction of lipid levels, resulting in significant heart health benefits.

Citrin K (Garcina Cambogia)~  This is a fruit named Malabar tamarind that is used in India, Pakistand and Sri Lanka, both as a food and a medicine. Citrin is a commercial fruit extract from the rind of this fruit. Garcinia Cambogia’s rind is rich in the substance hydroxy citric acid, which is helpful for weight control. It suppresses the appetite and induces weight loss through thermogenic action.

Garcinia Cambogia reduces the conversion of carbohydrates into stored fat by inhibiting certain enzyme processes. When less fat is available for use and slowed down, the body burns calories at an accelerated pace. Doctors found in a clinical study that people using Garcinia Cambogia lost weight at 2/12 times the rate of people not using it. They experienced a curbed appetite and less of a tendency to “nibble,” and an increase in energy.

Alpha Lipoic Acid~ Alpha-lipoic acid is an antioxidant that is made by the body and is found in every cell, where it helps turn glucose into energy. Antioxidants attack “free radicals,” waste products created when the body turns food into energy.

In several studies, alpha-lipoic acid appears to help lower blood sugar levels. Its ability to kill free radicals may help people with diabetic peripheral neuropathy, who have pain, burning, itching, tingling, and numbness in arms and legs from nerve damage.

Oxypregnane Steroidal Glycoside~ Also known as Hoodia.  Hoodia Gordonii is a succulent plant that grows in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa and Namibia, and has been used medicinally by the indigenous San Busmen to fight hunger and thirst during extended hunting expeditions, due to its appetite suppressant properties.

In a trial of 24 morbidly obese people where all that they could do was to read, watch television, interact with each other, and of course eat. Half the participants were given Hoodia Gordonii, and the other half a placebo. After 15 days the Hoodia Gordonii group had reduced their calorie intake by 1000 calories a day, despite taking no exercise and not being on any kind of weight loss diet.

Chromium~ This is a trace mineral that is deficient in most people’s diet; this deficiency can lead to developing sugar intolerance. People retain less chromium in the body as they age… sad but true.  Recent studies indicate that chromium protects against heart disease, diabetes, and may help firm muscles and burn fat.

My plight is to help you realize the benies of this product.  I have seen some amazing things happen to people when they get healthy.  One of those things happens to be weight loss, but someones health regained again has been by far the best thing I’ve seen from Plexus Slim.
